Cohesity Appoints Former VMware Executive as Vice President of Sales Operations and Go-to-Market Strategy

We are excited to announce that Lorenzo Montesi has joined Cohesity as vice president of sales operations and go-to-market strategy. In the new role, Lorenzo will be responsible for building the operations in support to the growing sales team and driving new business and growth initiatives to support the company’s expansion.

The expansion of the company’s leadership team will continue to propel the company forward as it scales to meet increasing market demand.

We’ve built significant momentum in the market following the public launch of the Cohesity Data Platform, and Lorenzo will play an important role in continuing our growth as part of the leadership team. His proven leadership, experience and drive make him a natural fit for Cohesity, and his proven success is a testament to his ability to meet aggressive growth goals.

Lorenzo came to Cohesity from VMware, where he served as senior director of sales operations and go-to-market strategy. In his former role at VMware, Lorenzo established the sales operations and go-to-market strategy for VMware cloud services and managed sales operations for the emerging businesses and indirect channels in the Americas. Prior to VMware, he held senior leadership positions at EMC and RSA. He was also a senior principal at Boston Consulting Group for ten years, where he advised CXOs of Fortune 500 corporations across pharmaceutical, technology and industrial sectors.

As vice president of sales operations and go-to-market strategy, Lorenzo will oversee worldwide sales operations, inside sales and customer support, and, with his expertise in corporate development, his strategic input will reinforce Cohesity as a leader in the enterprise secondary storage ecosystem.
