As CEO and President, Sanjay Poonen leads Cohesity in its mission to radically simplify how organizations secure and manage their data.

Sanjay is a proven business executive with over 25 years of experience in scaling multi-billion dollar businesses and building strong teams. Most recently, Sanjay was COO at VMware, where he oversaw sales, marketing, services and alliances, doubling VMware from approximately $6B to $12B in revenue. Poonen played a vital role in architecting multiple successful cloud partnerships, including AWS, Microsoft, Google, and Oracle. He also led the company’s security and end-user computing businesses, including the acquisition of AirWatch and Carbon Black. Prior to VMware, Poonen served as President of SAP where he led SAP’s Applications, Industries and Platform teams, serving in engineering and sales roles that helped double SAP from approximately $10B to $20B in revenue.

He began his career as a software engineer at Microsoft and Apple. Sanjay has an MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated a Baker Scholar which designates his position in the top 5% of his graduating class, a master’s degree in management science and engineering from Stanford University, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, math and engineering from Dartmouth College, where he graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. Sanjay holds two patents. Poonen serves on the Supervisory Board of Philips, and Board of Snyk.

Charlie Bell leads Microsoft Security, where he works to make the digital world secure and safe for everyone.

Eric Boyd leads the AI platform team within Microsoft’s Cloud + AI division. This global organization includes Azure Machine Learning, Microsoft Cognitive Services, Azure Cognitive Search, and internal platforms that provide data, experimentation, and graphics processing units cluster management to groups across Microsoft.

Boyd joined the company in 2009 to create the Silicon Valley Search Ads team. In 2011, he moved to Bellevue, Washington, to lead the Bing Ads Development team before taking on his current role in 2015.

Before joining Microsoft, Boyd was the vice president of engineering at Mochi Media, an ads startup that was acquired by Shanda Games. Previously, he was vice president of platform engineering at Yahoo for 10 years.

Boyd has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from MIT.

Jürgen Willis is Vice President for Microsoft Azure Advanced Workloads and Storage. This includes the Azure infrastructure for AI, HPC, SAP, Analytics, and Confidential Computing workloads, as well as Azure Disk, Object, Data Lake, Lustre and File services. Previously, Jürgen led the Azure Compute VM infrastructure team. He has also led Product Management for numerous .NET components, including Windows Communication Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundation. Prior to Microsoft, Jürgen was a Senior Manager with Accenture, delivering solutions for Enterprise clients in the Telecommunications and Financial Services industries.

As the SVP/GM of Cloud, Amith Nair leads all aspects of the Cloud Business Unit including product, sales, marketing, and alliances. Prior to Cohesity, he was responsible for product, partner, and solutions marketing at HashiCorp Inc. He also held product management and product marketing leadership positions at Microsoft, Citrix, and 3Com. Amith holds a Master of Science degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Greg and the team of Solution Architects and Field Technical Directors are responsible for providing technical depth and strategic technical oversight to our largest customers across the globe.

Theresa Miller is the Director of the Technical Advocacy Group at Cohesity. She is an IT professional who has been working as a technical expert in IT for over 25 years and has her MBA. She is uniquely industry recognized as a Microsoft MVP and VMware vExpert. Her areas of expertise are in security, cloud, hybrid cloud, end-user computing, virtualization, and M365 solutions.

Ross leads corporate communications globally for Cohesity, including public and analyst relations, internal communications, and customer marketing. Ross began his career as a television reporter/anchor covering technology, politics, education, and a host of other topics. He has spent the last 20+ years helping organizations raise awareness among key audience segments, influencers, and employees.
