The Challenge

First Acceptance Corporation had been using Quest Rapid Recovery (previously named Dell AppAssure) for system backups and recoveries. It was very complex and time-consuming to restore and the team was unable to create full backup copies in the 24-hour maintenance windows.

The Solution

First Acceptance Corporation evaluated several different options, including Veeam and Dell EMC Data Domain. After a thorough evaluation, they selected Cohesity to protect on-prem workloads, as well as using DataProtect Delivered as a Service, Cohesity’s BaaS offering, to protect its Microsoft M365 user data.

The Results

Data management is greatly simplified and Cohesity provides increased ransomware protection for First Acceptance Corporation. The IT team runs daily backups on all file servers, and can meet shorter backup windows for Microsoft SQL databases and their Exchange environment.
