I am honored and humbled today to join Cohesity as CEO and President. I’m grateful for the Board’s confidence in me and am fortunate to have an incredible foundation that Mohit Aron has already built.
Rather than repeat myself, I would love to have you read this public blog I wrote about “Why I Joined Cohesity.” It describes in detail the rationale for my decision, and my appreciation for the incredible innovation that Mohit and the company have already built. I sincerely believe Cohesity is the best technology platform in its category in the market.
The potential for what we can continue to do together – to manage, protect, analyze and secure corporate data – with a modern hybrid-cloud and cloud-native architecture, is immense. I have been fortunate to work with many of you over the course of the last 15 years of my career at VMware and SAP. We will rekindle those relationships, and I commit to partnering with you, to ensure your success. You will find me approachable and attentive to your needs. I believe the twin engines of product innovation and customer obsession can fuel Cohesity for decades to come. We are committed to building a long-lasting company that is one of your best partners in the IT industry.
For many organizations, navigating these challenging times creates uncertainty and complexity. But, I believe modern solutions can help reduce costs, maximize productivity, and simplify operations. Data management and data security software is also very relevant during times of economic growth or recession. In fact, the heightened risk of ransomware has made protecting one’s data of paramount importance. Legacy approaches have not been able to scale to a world that is increasingly any cloud, any app and any device. Cohesity’s innovative approach, similar to the modern tech pioneers like Salesforce, Workday and Crowdstrike, is replacing legacy products in our category, because of your validation and support. We look forward to co-innovating with all of you, bringing new ideas and influencing our product roadmap for years to come.
To our partners, you have my commitment to help you be a force multiplier of the benefits of our modern data management and data security solutions to your customers. With your help, we can greatly amplify the number of customers we can access on our own, so we need you! We are grateful for our corporate investors – Amazon, Cisco, HPE – who have not just invested in the company but are also strategic partners. And, to VMware, Pure Storage and Nutanix, they have also been strategic partners to us, I am excited about the untapped opportunity we have before us. Beyond these players, we are committed to growing strong relationships with every hyperscaler cloud, every server/storage hardware player, all Apps ISVs, SIs and VARs – as my team did at SAP and VMware. The customer will always be at the center of our mutual success!
Over the next few months, I plan to spend a significant amount of time meeting with all of you, listening to what you love about Cohesity, and where we can serve you better.
