Sydney – Aug. 8, 2019 – Cohesity today announced that it has signed Sydney-headquartered Outcomex as its latest reseller and managed services provider in Australia. The agreement will enable Cohesity to further expand its national presence, giving organisations access to modern data management solutions that make it simple to backup, manage, and gain insights from their data while solving critical mass data fragmentation challenges.

The agreement also empowers Outcomex to address the growing customer demand for a next-generation data platform that spans clouds, data centres, and the edge, can be easily managed from one user interface, and empowers organisations throughout Australia to make their backup data more productive.

Outcomex has been on a rapid growth trajectory during the past three years, opening new branches across Australia in Melbourne and Adelaide and is focused on delivering high-value, complex, and mission-critical data management, networking, and security collaboration solutions.

The company builds and runs large enterprise networks and datacentres and, in tandem with partners, offers a large portfolio of products which allow it to address a wide spectrum of today’s IT business requirements. Being a Cisco Gold partner, the agreement with Cohesity also enables Outcomex to provide customers with deeper expertise on integrated offerings from Cohesity and Cisco.

The growing demand for a joint solution from Cohesity and Cisco comes as companies struggle with the proliferation of data across locations, silos, and management systems that ultimately increases IT costs and complexity, and prevents organisations from fully realising the value of their data. Cohesity’s modern web-scale platform on Cisco UCS servers consolidates data silos, solves mass data fragmentation, and dramatically simplifies management on-premises and in multi-cloud environments.

“Outcomex is always looking for disruptive technologies that deliver real value and enhance operational efficiencies for our customers,” says Michael van Zoggel, National Sales Director, Outcomex. “Next-generation data management platforms are required in today’s datacentres with the more traditional approaches losing ground to the likes of Cohesity, which delivers capabilities for backup, storage, archiving, analytics, and dev/test across on-prem, cloud, and edge environments.”

As a Cohesity managed service provider, Outcomex will also now be able to deliver a broad and differentiated range of multi-tenant or single-tenant data management services from one web-scale platform and help organisations derive the most value from their data.

“The channel is an integral part of our business model and the addition of quality partners like Outcomex enables us to further capitalise on the growing demand for solutions that help enterprises solve mass data fragmentation challenges,” said Theo Hourmouzis, ANZ Managing Director, Cohesity. “The relationship with Outcomex will deliver a better way for us to service our customers and we look forward to a mutually beneficial and prosperous partnership.”

Outcomex will look to deploy Cohesity within its traditional customer base across a variety of industries including state and federal government, healthcare, higher education, and the large enterprise commercial sector.

About Cohesity
Cohesity ushers in a new era in data management that solves a critical challenge facing businesses today: mass data fragmentation. The vast majority of enterprise data — backups, archives, file shares, object stores, and data used for test/dev and analytics — sits in fragmented infrastructure silos that makes it hard to protect, expensive to manage, and difficult to analyse. Cohesity consolidates silos onto one web-scale platform, spanning on-premises, cloud, and the edge, and uniquely empowers organizations to run apps on that platform — making it easier than ever to back up and extract insights from data. Cohesity is a 2019 CNBC Disruptor and was named a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum. Visit our website and blog, follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn and like us on Facebook.
