Cohesity CERT is now available for NetBackup

We’re excited to announce that Cohesity Cyber Event Response Team (CERT) services are now available to enterprises with NetBackup deployments.

This expansion builds on the success of broadening our CERT service for Cohesity DataProtect users through strategic partnerships with leading incident response (IR) vendors, announced earlier this year. CERT delivers a powerful blend of technology and cyber response expertise to help you recover faster in the wake of cyberattacks. Now, we're bringing that same peace of mind and expert support to organizations that trust NetBackup for their data protection. 

As part of our ongoing efforts to innovate and strengthen cyber resilience across our portfolios, we’ve also expanded REDLab capabilities to Cohesity DataProtect. Insights from CERT—including new attack techniques observed from incidents—are shared with the REDLab team to enhance our product defenses. CERT coverage for NetBackup deployments is just the latest milestone towards our commitment to making cyber recovery simpler, faster, and more secure for our customers.

How to engage Cohesity CERT

If you are impacted, or suspect you’re experiencing a cyber threat or ransomware activity, contact CERT. The team is available 24/7 to all Cohesity customers. To alert CERT, follow these steps:

• Log in to MyCohesity.com
• Launch Support. Open a Support case, and pick CERT from the drop-down menu. The Security Analyst team is notified that the customer is facing a cyber event.
• The Security Analyst, Support Manager, or Sales team can then initiate a CERT Activation, triggering a PagerDuty notification to the Escalation Team for immediate engagement.
