The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and Cohesity have entered into a GSA OneGov agreement intended to help federal agencies reduce costs, modernize data infrastructure, and strengthen cyber resilience. The GSA OneGov agreement is expected to streamline procurement and deliver measurable cost savings across the federal enterprise. Through this agreement, federal agencies can more easily access Cohesity’s secure, AI-powered data resilience platform to defend against ransomware, simplify operations, and accelerate mission outcomes.

Details of the GSA and Cohesity partnership

As agencies modernize their IT environments under increasing cyber and budget pressures, the GSA and Cohesity partnership helps ensure access to modern, FedRAMP-authorized cyber resilience solutions purpose-built for government. Our platform consolidates data protection, security, and insights to help agencies stay mission-ready while driving operational efficiency.

The custom, government-exclusive bundles covered within the OneGov agreement provide federal agencies with end-to-end data protection, combining backup, recovery, and replication for on-prem and cloud workloads. Managed by a FedRAMP-authorized control plane, these solutions enable operational resilience and compliance with federal mandates.

Purpose-built for government mission outcomes

Cohesity delivers a modern, secure, and efficient approach to cyber resilience. Cohesity enables agencies to solve real-world challenges faster and with lower total cost of ownership (TCO). Highlights of the Cohesity solution include:

  • 50%+ lower estimated TCO based on real-world use cases through platform consolidation that eliminates expensive legacy systems and reduces operational overhead.
  • One UI with consistent policies, delivering a unified experience from edge to cloud. This helps improve recovery SLAs for critical citizen services and reduces costs agency-wide.
  • Zero Trust security architecture that enforces least-privilege access, strong identity controls, and continuous verification across users, applications, and data. It protects sensitive and regulated information using immutable backups, role-based access controls, and comprehensive auditing, helping agencies meet federal Zero Trust mandates while reducing ransomware risk and their overall attack surface.
  • Dramatically faster recovery with Instant Mass Restore technology that can recover up to 1,000 virtual machines (VMs) rapidly and get critical systems online quickly if catastrophe strikes. Using Instant Mass Restore and immutable backups, you can recover faster from attacks targeting public records, ensuring continuous delivery of services.
  • Scale with agency needs across VMs, databases, NAS, SaaS, and hybrid cloud workloads. Manage sensitive workloads across on-premises and authorized cloud environments while maintaining strict compliance with federal security requirements.
  • AI/ML-driven capabilities, including anomaly detection, threat classification, and intelligent capacity planning that can help predict and prevent issues before they impact operations. Use global search and AI classification to locate, secure, and analyze historical data tied to infrastructure projects, supporting more informed data-driven policy decisions.
  • Dynamic integrations empower agencies to connect approved tools, automate data workflows, and extend capabilities through Cohesity’s open API framework—all within a secure, compliant, and future-ready environment.

“Cohesity is secure by design and built to fit the federal mission,” said Marlon Hughes, Vice President Public Sector Sales Engineering at Cohesity. “From Zero Trust principles and immutability to seamless integrations with authorized cloud environments, we provide agencies with the resilience and flexibility they need to defend, recover, and innovate while meeting strict compliance mandates.”

Mission-ready results

In an era where every agency must deliver more value with fewer resources, Cohesity provides the foundation to stay mission-ready, no matter what comes next. With the Cohesity and the GSA OneGov agreement, agencies can consolidate tools, simplify technology stacks, and reduce costs—all while maintaining the highest levels of security and compliance.
