In the event of a disaster, recovery can be done directly in the production environment by rolling back to the latest SafeMode copy of the system locally, saving significant time, effort, and downtime.
• Immutable backups that can be locked to prevent expiration or deletion using DataLock, Cohesity’s write once read many (WORM) time-bound feature. Data is also protected with comprehensive access controls (e.g., multifactor authentication (MFA), granular role-based access (RBAC), encryption, and quorum approval for critical actions) that protect against tampering.

The combined capabilities of Cohesity’s DataLock and Pure Storage SafeMode help ensure the non-expiration and non-deletion of the SafeMode copy of both the data and system, with checks and balances to ensure a clean restoration. Additionally, Cohesity’s RBAC and Quorum features provide an additional layer of protection for critical actions such as a rollback by requiring at least two approvers before the action can be completed.
