Overview  

The NetBackup Flex 5372 appliance is a turnkey enterprise data protection solution delivering up to 1.92 PiB usable capacity with 8 TB drives, Self Encrypted Drives (SED)-standard hardware encryption, active/active high availability, and Flex 7.0 zero-trust platform controls. It consolidates Flex 5360, 5362, and Access 3360 onto a single next-generation platform.

Cyber Resiliency Against All Attack Vectors 

The Flex 5372 is the first Flex appliance series to standardize SEDs, delivering hardware-level encryption with zero performance impact. Combined with Multi Person Authorization (MPA) -governed key management, Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) enforcement, custom Role Based Access Control (RBAC), and instance-level Network Access Control (NAC), the 5372 delivers the strongest security posture in the NetBackup appliance portfolio. 

Enterprise Capacity and High Availability 

  • Up to 1.92 PiB usable capacity with four 5U84 expansion shelves (8 TB drives); 960 TiB with 4 TB drives 
  • Active/active high availability across two compute nodes for maximum uptime 
  • Up to 1.5 TB DDR5 memory; Intel® Xeon® Gold 6530 (Emerald Rapids, 32 cores, 160 MB cache) 
  • Three I/O models (A–C): up to 8 × 25 GbE or up to 6 × 32 Gb FC per node 
  • Supports 4 TB and 8 TB SAS drives. 
  • Integrated SED Hardware Security - All drives are Self-Encrypting i.e. data protected at rest with zero performance penalty. SED functionality is optional (can be enabled or disabled per deployment) 

Proactive Monitoring 

NetInsights Console monitors key hardware components, alerts on fault events, and makes recommendations for infrastructure optimization.
