This partnership combines Cohesity Data Cloud with Azure to enable several key uses cases:

1. Ensure Azure data and workloads are recoverable
   Protect your critical workloads like Azure VMs, SQL, and Azure stack with consistent, policy-driven protection that helps meet compliance requirements and enforces unified governance from a single platform. Cohesity ensures that data across these environments remains secure and recoverable, no matter where it resides. In the event of a cyber-attack, accidental deletion, or outage you can instantly recover full workloads or individual files back into Azure, Azure stack, or to an alternate environment—minimizing downtime and strengthening overall cyber resilience.
2.  Cybervaulting
   Cohesity’s cybervaulting capabilities give organizations the ability to recover securely and confidently from cyberattacks. By maintaining an immutable, air-gapped copy of your critical Azure data, you can ensure a clean recovery that is protected from both external and insider threats. Attackers are increasingly targeting backups since they are seen as the last line of defense. In the event of an attack, you can ensure your data is recoverable and rapidly restored with trusted backups—enabling faster recovery and preventing malware persistence. 
3.  Optimize storage costs
   Dramatically reduce TCO by optimizing how secondary data is stored and retained in Azure. With built-in global deduplication and compression capabilities, Cohesity eliminates redundant data and minimizes the amount 

of information that needs to be transferred and stored. Seamless integration with Azure Blob Storage allows Azure data to be automatically tiered based on retention policies. This allows IT teams to scale cyber resilience economically as they accelerate cloud adoption.
