Cohesity DataProtect for the Cloud

Strike the right balance of convenience, control, and cost

Enterprises are increasingly moving to the cloud to support use cases that traditionally run on-premises and achieve greater flexibility, accessibility, and scalability. However, some struggle to easily migrate their data to the cloud, while others fear doing so will mean relinquishing control to a vendor. With Cohesity DataProtect for the Cloud you can simplify data management for your organization. It gives your IT teams enhanced control over the deployment while conveniently outsourcing the underlying infrastructure management to cloud providers. Organizations can deploy a Cohesity cluster in AWS, Azure and GCP and use it to protect cloud-native, SaaS, and on-premises data sources. Customers can manage on-premises and cloud-based Cohesity deployments through a single pane of glass using Cohesity Helios.

TCO optimization benefits
  • With cost-effective object storage, like S3 in AWS, Cohesity DataProtect for the Cloud helps optimize cloud storage costs without compromising on performance.
  • Each Cohesity node supports a usable capacity of up to 200TB, allowing efficient and effective storage of large amounts of data.
  • Advanced data deduplication and compression techniques can significantly reduce the data footprint and storage costs.
Improved performance and flexible deployment choices
  • Available in multiple configurations to support different use cases, including Entry (basic computing), Core (general-purpose), Archival (high storage needs), and Performance (high performance computing tasks).
  • Support for high performing instance types offered by major cloud providers, including M6 instances in AWS, n2-standard instances in GCP, and Dsv5 instances in Azure.
  • Supports disk types that offer provisioned IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) and throughput for cost-optimized performance and streamlined retrieval and processing operations.
  •  Easily add and scale up or down clusters based on business need, enabling flexibility and scalability

Key Benefits

  • Optimize total cost of ownership with efficient storage and capacity-based pricing
  • Simplify data management while retaining control with flexible deployment options
  • Increase protection for cloud-native and SaaS workloads
