New product innovations for AWS customers

At AWS re:Invent 2025, we're redefining what it means to be cyber resilient in the age of AI, with expanded support for AWS workloads, enhanced cloud data security features, and new Gen AI innovations for AWS customers.

Protect more AWS data than ever before with expanded workload and region support

Building on Cohesity's existing protection for Amazon S3, EC2, and RDS, our latest software releases—Cohesity 7.3 (available now) and 7.3.1* (coming soon)—will support AWS Databases including:

  • AWS RDS Custom Oracle
  • AWS RDS Custom SQL
  • AWS RDS MySQL
  • AWS Aurora MySQL
  • AWS RDS Oracle *
  • AWS RDS SQL*
  • AWS RDS Postgres*
  • AWS Aurora Postgres*
  • AWS Redshift Cluster*
  • AWS DynamoDB*
  • AWS DocumentDB*

Cohesity is also expanding our support for backup and recovery of Amazon S3 workloads, giving customers the flexibility to choose the deployment model that fits their specific needs:

  • Cohesity DataProtect for Cloud (New)
  • Physical and virtual environments (New)
  • Cohesity Cloud Protection Services (CCPS, formerly CCS) (Existing)

This expanded coverage removes silos, ensuring faster recovery, simpler compliance, and consistent protection across AWS workloads. Integrated with AWS-native services, Cohesity automates backups, accelerates restores, and delivers policy-based management—all with the scalability and security of the Cohesity platform. The result: streamlined operations, lower costs, and strong confidence that your AWS data is secure and recovery-ready.

Earlier this year, Cohesity achieved AWS Government Competency, demonstrating our success in providing government customers with secure, reliable and innovative cloud solutions. In addition to FedRAMP® and GovRAMP authorizations, Cohesity will now be supporting AWS Secret* (coming soon) and AWS Top Secret regions, bringing mission-grade resilience to government and defense workloads. With Cohesity’s zero-trust architecture, and immutability, Cohesity enables compliance, continuity, and confidence across even the most sensitive AWS environments.

Fortify your AWS data with next-generation cyber resilience

The new Cohesity releases significantly strengthen data security and cyber resilience for AWS workloads through deeper integrations and advanced threat defense capabilities:

  • Enhanced DSPM integration with Cyera: Our expanded integration with Cyera delivers unified data visibility and risk intelligence across Amazon S3, EC2, and RDS data sources. AWS customers can automatically classify sensitive data, detect exposure, enforce compliance, and prioritize recovery—reducing both risk and operational cost.
  • Threat scanning and anomaly detection for Amazon EC2: Cohesity’s AI-powered threat detection now covers EC2 workloads, continuously scanning snapshots and backups for ransomware and malware indicators during both protection and recovery—helping to prevent breaches before they happen and aiding clean recoveries.
  • Immutable backups with Amazon S3 Object Lock: Cohesity now supports Amazon S3 Object Lock across external AWS targets so you can make your primary and secondary backup copies immutable. With bucket versioning and Object Lock, Cohesity enforces WORM retention, supports legal holds, and blocks premature deletes or changes, even if credentials are compromised.

Enhance operational efficiency, data resiliency, and cost savings for critical AWS workloads

We’re introducing new disaster recovery capabilities and platform improvements that make operations more efficient, recoveries faster, and optimize cloud consumption costs for AWS customers:

  • Cohesity RecoveryAgent with agentic AI: Simplify and automate AWS recovery planning and execution with customizable, AI-guided blueprints. Non-disruptive rehearsal capabilities let teams validate recovery workflows safely, ensuring consistent, repeatable recovery when it matters most.
  • Lower Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) for AWS MSSQL databases (more workloads will be added in the future), which enables quicker recovery times, for example, from 12 hours to one hour, on average, for databases approximately 1TB in size **. Customers will be able to minimize data loss and enhance disaster recovery readiness with more frequent backups.
  • File and disk level recovery for AWS EC2 VMs to enable more granular, faster recoveries.
  • Enhanced data resilience for Cohesity Cloud Protection Services (CCPS) on AWS with a second backup copy in the same region as the first copy*. Customers will be able to recover data quickly and easily in case the first backup copy is unavailable due to an outage while still complying with data residency and sovereignty requirements.
  • Storage cost optimization with intelligent Amazon S3 tiering that automatically moves AWS backup data between storage tiers based on usage—reducing costs without impacting access speed or recovery.
  • Unified visibility and reporting across AWS and hybrid workloads with Cohesity IT Analytics (ITA) that simplifies monitoring and saves time.

Build your competitive advantage with AI-powered Innovation

Enterprises are eager to harness AI for innovation, but fragmented data across edge, cloud, and on-prem environments often slows progress. Cohesity Gaia can index and vectorize this data in a single, secure, AI-ready platform, creating a data lake that is ready for Gen AI and application development, without spinning up yet another data silo.

Cohesity Gaia is now available as a self-managed option—both on-premises and in the cloud—enabling organizations to build their own “private GPT" in AWS, fully-managed by them or deployed within their own environment for security and sovereignty requirements. This enables organizations to create and use AI securely, without exposing proprietary data to public GenAI tools.
