IT Practitioners From Dolby Laboratories, The Wendy’s Company, and the San Francisco Giants to Share Insights on the Evolution of Backup and Recovery Technology
San Jose, Calif. – Aug. 21, 2019 – Cohesity today announced that it will lead a customer panel discussion about enterprise data management with IT leaders from Dolby Laboratories, The Wendy’s Company, and the San Francisco Giants at the upcoming VMworld 2019 event. Cohesity will be featured in a total of ten speaking sessions at the conference, which runs from August 25 to August 29 in San Francisco.
The panel discussion with Cohesity customers on Monday, August 26, will focus on how enterprises can simplify data management to overcome the challenge of mass data fragmentation. IT practitioners from Dolby, Wendy’s, and the Giants will cover a range of topics including the early struggles of file recovery, horror stories of lost tapes, and challenges of integrating with cloud technologies. Panelists will also discuss how modern data management technologies have unleashed new opportunities to simplify backup and recovery, provide much greater granularity and insights into data, and make backup data much more productive.
Cohesity is a platinum sponsor of VMworld 2019, and will participate in two additional hour-long conference sessions – a cloud provider CXO panel and a discussion of work-life balance – along with three “vBrownbag Sessions” and three “vExpert Daily” tech talks. Complete schedules and event descriptions are available in the VMworld content catalog here. Conference attendees can also visit Cohesity on the exhibition floor at booth #635 for more information and product demos.
Charity Partnership With Special Olympics at VMworld Cohesity will join the Special Olympics of Northern California in hosting charity activities during the conference. Attendees are invited to play putt-putt golf at booth #1543 in the VMworld Activation Zone, with an award ceremony hosted by Pro Football Hall of Fame receiver Jerry Rice scheduled from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28. Cohesity will offer a dollar-for-dollar match on the first $50,000 raised for the Special Olympics during the event. In addition, the CEO and president of the Special Olympics of Northern California, David Solo, will sit down with Cohesity COO Rob Salmon for a live interview with SiliconANGLE Media’s theCUBE at VMworld on Monday, August 26, at 2:30 p.m.
About Cohesity Cohesity ushers in a new era in data management that solves a critical challenge facing businesses today: mass data fragmentation. The vast majority of enterprise data — backups, archives, file shares, object stores, and data used for test/dev and analytics — sits in fragmented infrastructure silos that makes it hard to protect, expensive to manage, and difficult to analyse. Cohesity consolidates silos onto one web-scale platform, spanning on-premises, cloud, and the edge, and uniquely empowers organizations to run apps on that platform — making it easier than ever to back up and extract insights from data. Cohesity is a 2019 CNBC Disruptor and was named a Technology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum. Visit our website and blog, follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn and like us on Facebook.
