Cohesity Appoints Frédéric Lemaire as Country Manager for France

Former Veritas, Oracle, Dell EMC and CA Technologies Sales Leader Brings Highly Relevant Industry Experience to Partners and Customers Throughout France While Meeting the Needs of the Country’s Public and Private Organizations

PARIS – 8 April 2020 — Cohesity today announced the appointment of Frédéric Lemaire as Country Manager for France. In this role, Lemaire will lead Cohesity’s expansion strategy in the country targeting major enterprises and public administration customers who are looking to deploy a modern, software-defined approach to backing up, managing, and deriving value from their data.  Lemaire will also work closely with partners throughout the region who are focused on helping organizations accelerate their business transformations. Lemaire brings to Cohesity more than 25 years of IT solution sales experience across major enterprise IT businesses including Veritas Technologies, Oracle, Dell EMC, and CA Technologies, and has a deep understanding of the French IT solutions market. Most recently, Lemaire was sales director for France at Veritas, leading strategic and global accounts while managing top performing teams.

Working in conjunction with Cohesity’s executive leadership team in EMEA, he will lead the French sales team while driving the company’s sales strategy across various business sectors that face issues with mass data fragmentation, where data sits in silos across on-premises IT servers and in the cloud.

“Cohesity is disrupting the data management industry. I’m looking forward to working with our team to drive further adoption  across the region through our unique platform,” explained Lemaire. “We have a fantastic solution that solves the mass data fragmentation problem by unifying traditional data silos and allowing organizations of all kinds to make their data more productive. I am very happy to have the opportunity to be part of this fundamental change in our market.”

“With over 25 years enterprise experience, Frédéric is a fantastic addition to our growing organization,” said Dirk Marichal, vice president, sales EMEA, Cohesity. “The role will see Frédéric drive development in France where the market appetite for Cohesity is strong. We already have a host of customers in France across public and private sectors, and we believe Frédéric will be able to extend our presence in the market while leading a dynamic sales team.”

Lemaire also holds a Master’s degree in management from the “INT – Institut National des Télécommunications” of Paris. In his spare time he’s an avid runner and tennis player. He is also an enthusiastic soccer supporter of Paris St Germain.

About Cohesity

Cohesity ushers in a new era in data management that solves a critical challenge facing businesses today: mass data fragmentation. The vast majority of enterprise data — backups, archives, file shares, object stores, and data used for dev/test and analytics — sits in fragmented infrastructure silos that make it hard to protect, expensive to manage, and difficult to analyse. Cohesity consolidates silos onto one web-scale platform, spanning on-premises, cloud, and the edge, and uniquely empowers organisations to run apps on that platform — making it easier than ever to back up and extract insights from data. Cohesity is a 2019 CNBC Disruptor and was named aTechnology Pioneer by the World Economic Forum. Visit our website and blog, follow us on Twitter and LinkedIn and like us on Facebook.
