Introducing Cohesity DSPM, powered by Cyera

We’re pleased to announce the general availability of Cohesity DSPM, powered by Cyera. The solution, sold by Cohesity, leverages Cyera’s modern, AI-native Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) platform, to help organizations reduce the risk from data breaches and other cyberattacks. With Cohesity DSPM, powered by Cyera you can discover sensitive data across your enterprise, classify it, then align security and protection policies to ensure the safety of your most critical data. How the solution works: Improve your security posture in minutes

Cohesity DSPM, powered by Cyera can be rapidly deployed using an agentless architecture that is able to continuously scan hundreds of petabytes without slowing down as your hybrid environment grows.

1. First, the solution will inventory all the unstructured and structured data sources in your environment, like databases, Google Drives, cloud storage containers, etc. This identifies where all your sensitive data is. It will surface all sensitive data like credit card numbers, bank account numbers, passwords, and more. 
2. The solution then uses an AI-native classifier that learns and adapts to your environment, automatically classifying data with up to 95% precision—all with zero tuning. This will show up as different data classes. 
3. To help you focus on what matters most, the solution will automatically assign AI-driven severity scores to all your sensitive data, based on correlating data sensitivity, business purpose, identities, access activity, and exposure. This context changes how the data must be handled. For example, customer data must be handled differently than employee data. Data in certain regions, like the EU, will have different regulations than data in California. 
4. With this visibility and deep intelligence around your sensitive data, you can now act on data risks with confidence. Choose from 30+ out-of-the-box actions, like revoking access, masking data, triggering predefined workflows, or routing issues directly to data owners with all the context needed to resolve issues quickly.
