Instructions: Setting up Helios to manage NetBackup environments

Already Have Helios - Steps for Enabling NetBackup Management

If you already have Helios for managing DataProtect and want to start managing NetBackup, follow the steps below.

Login to MyCohesity

1.    Select Launch within the Helios app

2. Select Open application within the Information popup. This action will trigger a provisioning ticket for the NetBackup application to be added to your Helios account. If you login to Helios via helios.cohesity.com you will not trigger this action because it can only be initiated via MyCohesity.com.

It may take up to two business days for the NetBackup application to show up in your Helios account.

Don’t Have Helios – Steps to get Helios and Manage NetBackup

If you do not yet have Helios and would like to start using Helios for managing NetBackup follow the following steps.

Login to MyCohesity

1.    Select Launch within the Alta app

2.    Select the Cohesity Data Cloud console region

Note: Helios – United States will be selected by default. You may also choose Alta View hosted in other regions if you have data sovereignty requirements.

3.    Select yourself or someone else as the Super Admin

4.    Click Submit

5.     It will take up to two business days to provision an account for you in Helios or Alta View.

6.     Once complete you can launch into Helios from the Helios app on MyCohesity, or if you selected Alta View, then you can launch Alta View from the Alta app.
