theCUBE interviews at AWS re:Invent 2018: Accelerating Your Hybrid Cloud Journey

Cohesity is known for making a splash at big shows, and AWS re:Invent 2018 in Las Vegas last November was no different. Cohesity CMO Lynn Lucas sat down with theCUBE hosts, John Furrier and Lauren Cooney, to talk about Cohesity’s AWS re:Invent 2018 highlights.

Of course there was the Cohesity party, featuring the popular rapper, Pitbull, and basketball legend, Shaquille O’Neal (highlights here!). Above and beyond the fun stuff, Lynn highlighted our new product capabilities that will enable you to accelerate your hybrid cloud strategy for secondary data and apps with Cohesity and AWS.

  • For cloud-native backup: We introduced integration with EBS snapshots to deliver backup for cloud native VMs on AWS.
  • To aid disaster recovery: We introduced failover and failback capabilities enabling full lifecycle disaster recovery to AWS.
  • And for long-term retention: We introduced integration with AWS Snowball, which enables transfer of large amounts of archival data to AWS.
